Almost every graduate hits the same wall: a degree, but no experience, while every employer wants experience. U²Pro breaks that cycle. By the time you finish you will have completed practical work equivalent to the experience many graduates only gain after their first year as a trainee accountant.
These are the real jobs a first-year trainee does inside an accounting firm. You will have done them before you graduate, which answers an employer's biggest question: can you already do the work?
Capture, reconcile and close the bank, debtors, creditors and general ledger, every month.
Prepare and submit VAT201, EMP201, EMP501 and provisional tax on eFiling, correctly and on time.
Calculate PAYE, UIF and SDL, build a compliant payslip and file the returns.
Build a director-ready pack with variances, ratios and plain-language commentary.
Year-end adjustments, provisions, the PI-score framework and the road to CIPC compliance.
Ethics, confidentiality, POPIA, fraud red flags and the communication that builds a career.
U²Pro is for anyone who wants to work in accounting and needs the experience to get there: university and TVET college students, recent graduates, and career changers. It fits whether you want to be hired by a firm, work towards a Chartered Business Accountant designation, or one day run your own accounting practice.
That last route matters. U²Pro shows you how a practice actually operates, from client files and workflows to tax, payroll, month-end, quality control, documentation and professional standards, so the experience is valuable whether you join a firm or build your own.
Twenty-six live teaching sessions run fortnightly on Tuesdays, 16:00 to 18:00 SAST, with a break from 9 December 2026 to 18 January 2027. Every session gives you the same four things.
A reference you keep: checklists, templates and worked examples for the workplace.
The definitions, the legislation and the worked examples, laid out clearly.
Two hours, trainer-led, with screen sharing, worked examples and live Q&A.
A 20-question check after each session to lock the content in before you move on.
Ten blocks and 26 sessions, ending with one integrated case study.
Knowledge is checked after every session and consolidated in one case study at the end.

A normal graduate costs a firm money for months: training, mistakes, supervision, rework. A U²Pro graduate has already done the work, so they are productive far sooner.
They already understand how a firm's client files and month-end workflow run.
They have completed the core tasks before, so they need less hand-holding.
Work done to a standard the first time, not the third.
Faster to value, so a new hire stops being a cost centre sooner.
U²Pro helps you graduate with the practical experience to get hired faster, or the skills to start your own accounting practice one day.
U²Pro (University to Professional) is CIBA's programme that bridges the gap between studying and employment. It gives you practical, workplace-ready skills and a professional designation, so you graduate employable rather than only qualified.
University and TVET students, recent graduates and career changers are all welcome. You do not need a completed qualification or any work experience to start. If you want to work in accounting, or run your own practice one day, this is for you.
Every session is recorded and added to your account, so you can catch up in your own time and still complete that session's knowledge check.
A 20-question check after each session (60% to pass, one resubmission), plus one integrated take-home case study at the end (65% to pass) marked with written feedback.
A CIBA completion certificate, your first year of Chartered Financial Administrator (Chartered FAdmin) designation membership, and 12 months of experience credit toward the designation, all included in the fee. The programme is the Skills Module on the route to it.
Chartered FAdmin is awarded on the Skills Module plus 12 months of relevant experience and a Professional Assessment. This programme delivers the Skills Module and the practical grounding you need for the assessment.
You pay R1 000 a month for the 12 months of the programme, by secure checkout through Payfast.
Completing U²Pro counts as 12 months of the work experience CIBA requires when you apply for your professional designation. That is a full year's head start on becoming Chartered.
