The Income Tax and VAT treatment of NPO’s, PBO’s, Associations not for Gain and Welfare Organizations are extremely complex.

Many persons believe that Income Tax and VAT benefits would be enjoyed by an NPO even though it is not formally registered as a PBO. This is a common misconception leading to costly disputes with SARS.

Other organizations formally registered as PBO’s are not necessarily accessing the significant VAT benefits applicable to “welfare organizations”.

This course is designed to assist tax practitioners and accountants to advise their NPO and PBO clients appropriately with regards to the numerous tax pitfalls and opportunities that should be navigated.
