The R10 Million Practice
You can be busy for twenty years and still only own a job. Three days on how small accounting firms win better work, charge more, cut the risks that end practices, and build something a buyer would actually pay for.
Serengeti Estates, Kempton Park · 200 seats · 10 CPD units
- Golf Day from R1,400
- Padel from R800
- Conference R2,250
- Full Package R3,000 · save R650
Why this conference exists
Your diary is full. Your staff are busy. The money comes in every month. So what happens if you stop working?
You closed the VAT submissions. You chased the construction client for invoices they promised in June. You quoted a retail client and heard your own voice hesitate on the number.
Here is what that costs. Under-pricing by R450 an hour across fifteen clients is roughly R280,000 a year you did not bill. And a practice where every decision runs through the owner is a practice a buyer will discount heavily, or walk away from entirely.
You do not have a capacity problem. You have a value problem.
The enemy here is the assumption that a full diary is the same as a valuable business. It is not. Turnover tells you how busy you are. Valuation tells you what you actually built.
PMC 2026 is three days of working on that gap. Real numbers from real firms. Live pricing. Live valuations. Inside SARS risk selection. A major fraud case rebuilt on screen. And a room full of people who could become your next client, your outsourcing partner, or the person who buys your practice.
Registration closes when the 200 seats go, and most bookings land in the final two weeks.
Take your place →What you leave with
Every session on the programme is built on one of four outcomes.
Make more
Win better work
Where the next R1 million comes from. Public-sector contracts, offshore work for United States firms, and the sectors about to need more accounting support than they have.
Charge more
Fix your pricing
Bring your fee book. Three real jobs get priced live on stage. You leave having repriced one of your own clients, with a date set for the conversation.
Lose less
Cut the real risks
Why SARS picked your client. What a professional indemnity claim actually costs. What happens when a staff member clicks the wrong link on a Friday afternoon.
Build value
Build something saleable
Real practices valued live on stage, then the assumptions changed so you watch the value move. Then an actual buyer says what they pay for and what they price at zero.
Four outcomes, fourteen sessions, one A3 plan you write before you leave the room.
Take your place →The five sessions people book for
This is not CPD as usual. These are sessions you need to experience.
If a session could comfortably be delivered as a normal webinar, it does not get the main stage at PMC. These five are the reason to clear your diary.
Inside a R10 Million Accounting Practice
An SMP owner opens the bonnet. Revenue, clients, average fees, staff, margins, owner earnings, what worked and what they stopped doing."Show me the numbers."
Why SARS Picked Your Client
Inside the risk engine. What creates risk, what data is matched, what patterns attract attention, and what a strong first response looks like. Not another tax update."Tell me what happens before the letter arrives."
Follow the Money
A major South African case rebuilt on screen. The tender, the entity, the invoice, the payment, the related party, the accounting entry. You get the evidence first."Show me how the money actually moved."
Stop Selling Hours
A live pricing surgery. Three jobs on screen, the audience votes on price, then a value-pricing practitioner reprices them and defends the increase."Tell me what I am charging wrong."
What Is Your Practice Actually Worth?
Real practices valued live. Two firms with the same turnover and completely different values. Then we change the assumptions and watch the number move."Tell me what my life's work is actually worth."
Nine more sessions
Public-sector work, the United States pipeline, owner dependence, operating leverage, professional indemnity claims, ransomware, and the buyer who tells you what they will and will not pay for.
Fourteen sessions across two conference days. Ten CPD units.
Take your place →Who you will hear from
Hear from the people who do the work.
Every speaker is on stage because they have first-hand experience of the topic they are discussing, and they are prepared to share what actually happens in practice..

Do not leave the networking to luck
When you register, you tell us what you are looking for and what you can offer. CIBA uses that to make deliberate introductions across all three days, through sports pairings, table seating, lunches and the business exchange evening.
I am looking for
New clients. Public-sector work. Offshore work. Subcontracting. Specialist expertise. Staff or outsourced capacity. Referral partners. Technology. A practice to acquire. A buyer or succession partner. Finance.
I can offer
Spare capacity. Specialist expertise. Referrals. Geographic coverage. Outsourcing capability. Technology expertise. A practice for sale. Acquisition interest. Mentoring.
At registration you receive MY PMC CONNECTIONS: three named people CIBA thinks you should meet, and why. The person sitting next to you should be worth knowing.
Matching runs off your registration form, so the earlier you book, the better the introductions.

Two full conference days, ten CPD units, and fourteen takeaways you complete in the room.
Take your place →Who should be in the room
Come if any of these are true
- You own or run an accounting practice and the whole thing still runs through you.
- You have not raised a fee in two years because you are not sure how to defend it.
- You want public-sector or offshore work and do not know where the chain starts.
- You are five to ten years from wanting out, and have never had the practice valued.
- You are buying a practice, or someone has asked to buy yours.
- You are a senior manager being lined up for ownership.
- You are about to start a practice and would rather learn this now than in year six.
- Your clients are in construction, retail, logistics or hospitality, and you can feel the compliance load growing faster than your fees.
Two hundred owners of small and medium practices. That is the whole room.

Reasons not to come, and why they do not hold
"November is my busiest month."
It is everyone's. That is exactly why the practice never gets worked on. Two days out of a year buys you a repriced client, a market to go after and a valuation range for your own firm.
"It is expensive."
The conference is R2,250 for two days. One repriced client usually covers it in the first month. The live pricing surgery is built so you leave with that client identified and a date set for the conversation.
"I will watch the recording."
Sessions are recorded. The live valuations, the audience pricing vote, the business matching and the introductions are not things a recording gives you.
"I am too small for this."
The whole programme is written for firms between R1 million and R10 million. The opening session shows what actually changes between those points. Nothing here assumes a big firm.
"I do CPD online for free."
So do we. CIBA runs more than 80 free CPD events a year. This is not that. If a session could be delivered as a normal webinar, it does not get the main stage at PMC.
"I am not selling my practice."
Neither are most people in the room. Valuation is a management tool. It tells you which of your habits are quietly destroying value while you are still running the place.
Out of reasons? Good. Register before the 200 seats go.

Before you book
Questions people actually ask
How many CPD units do I get?
Ten CPD units across the two conference days. The golf day and padel tournament do not carry CPD.
Do I have to play golf or padel?
No. Conference only is a full ticket and many delegates take it. The sport day exists to build relationships before the conference starts, which is why the Full Package is priced to make it easy to add.
Can I do padel and the conference?
Yes. Book the Conference only ticket and add Padel Tournament only. The Full Package covers golf rather than padel, because the two sports run at different times on the same day.
What is business matching, in practice?
Your registration form asks what you are looking for and what you can offer. CIBA groups the responses, identifies high-value reciprocal matches, and uses them to set sports pairings, lunch tables and direct introductions. At registration you get three named people you should meet, and why.
Where is it and is there accommodation?
Serengeti Estates in Kempton Park, about fifteen minutes from OR Tambo International. Accommodation options near the estate will be listed here closer to the date.
Are the sessions recorded?
Sessions are recorded and made available to registered delegates afterwards. The live pricing surgery, the live valuations and everything that happens between sessions are not things a recording replaces.
Can I send a colleague instead if something comes up?
Yes. Name changes are free up to seven days before the event. Email wwdekock@myciba.org.
Can my firm be invoiced?
Yes. Email jgrimmer@myciba.org with the delegate names and your billing details and we will raise an invoice.
Still deciding is also a decision. Twelve months from now you are either quoting from a different position, or explaining the same fee to the same client.
Take your place →Build the practice. Not the job.
A R10 million practice is not simply a business with R10 million of turnover. It has clients worth keeping, prices that produce a proper return, people who can operate without the owner, and eventually somebody willing to spend real money to own it.
